Planet Nomadas Dive Resort

Planet Nomadas is designed to provide a active getaway for couples, families or groups up to 12 people. The resort is set in from of the beach looking back to Nusa Lembongan and across to the coastline of Bali and Mount Agung.

Diving: Lembongan & Penida

Ready to dive surrounded by manta rays and look for the famous mola-mola (sunfish) among coral reefs? The 3 neighboring islands Nusa Penida, Ceningan and Lembongan have become a key destination for Balinese diving. Just 30 minutes by boat from Bali, you can enjoy the wide visibility of Cristal Bay. Moreover, the slow swim of the manta rays attracted by the amount of plankton and the amazing underwater coral structures. The waters surrounding Nusa Lembongan offers some of best diving to be found anywhere! Now, it also has conservation status in Indonesia as a marine protected area.

Accommodation and Facilities: Planet Nomadas

There are 6 stylish bungalows at Planet Nomadas with either air-con or fan, private bathroom and terrace. The layout provides a retreat to cater for couples. But, it also enables families to be connected with a two-bedroom option. The suites have adjoining doors and have been set back from each other for privacy. Other facilities include salt water swimming pool, a restaurant and Wi-Fi.

There are plenty of motorbikes and bicycle rental on the island. Ask the resort staff if you want to rent one.

The resort is about 20 minutes away from a nice beach with incredible view of the Bali and the Mount Agung. With a little walk to the east, you can find mangrove forest that is usually the best spot to enjoy the sunrise. 

 
Itinerary: Diving in Lembongan & Penida

DAY 1: SANUR - LEMBONGAN      ▼

Lembongan and Penida are known as two of most important diving areas in Bali. Besides for their amazing coral reefs, it is also popular for the majestic manta rays that can be seen throughout the year. The dive sites are home to incredible variety of colorful fish and the world’s heaviest bony fish. Moreover, you will have the chance to see the mysterious sunfish during the months of August to October.

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Bali and to take you to the harbor. From there, you will embark to the island of Lembongan. Upon arrival, the same boat company will take you to your diving resort. The island is just 30 minutes from Bali by fast boat. The pace is relaxed and you will find a wide variety of restaurants and dream landscapes to enjoy.

DAY 2: DIVING TRIP (2 DIVES)       ▼

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will meet the resort team to begin exploring the underwater world. When everything is ready, you will go by boat to start the adventure. Depths of dive sites vary between 4 and 40 meters and currents can reach up to 4 knots. This makes a perfect place to enjoy diving with a visibility of 25 meters almost all year round.
Upon your return to the resort, a delicious lunch awaits you. Rest of the afternoon, free time for you to explore the island on your own. The same team at the resort will advise you on the most beautiful areas of the island so you can spend the afternoon and watch the sunset.

DAY 3:DIVING TRIP (2 DIVES) - SANUR - END OF TRIP       ▼

Today we will end our stay on this beautiful Balinese island. But before that, you have two other dives around Lembongan and Penida. After that, enjoy your lunch and have your luggage ready. The boat company will pick you up to take the boat and cross back to Bali where they will transfer to your hotel. Thank you for diving in Lembongan and Penida with us. The resort is located on the island of Nusa Lembongan. The island is reachable from Sanur harbor in Bali mainland by fast boat that are available daily. Typical boat schedules from both sides are in the morning, midday and afternoon. Transportation on the island is usually by horse-cart, motor bike and car.

FAQ

When is the best time of the year to do this tour?

Our favourite time for travel in Indonesia is between April to October, although Indonesia is a great year-round destination, offering memorable experiences for all kinds of adventures. July to August are the peak summer months.

In West to Central part of the weather is delightfully warm and it’s a popular time for travellers to visit for holidays, whilst if you wish to travel from October to April, the Eastern part Indonesia, like Banda and Raja Ampat, would be the best option.

If you wish to have a relaxing journey in Indonesia with less crowds, the shoulder months of April to June and September to October are ideal and slightly more economic. If you must travel in ‘high season’ but want to avoid the crowd, worry not, there are numbered of unbeaten track in Indonesia ready to be explored.

What should I bring?

The tropics is a warm and often sweaty place, especially if you have Borneo or Sulawesi included in your travel. Check out our suggestion on What to Wear:

  • Comfortable and light shirt and at least a pair of long sleeves
  • Comfortable walking shoes or trekking shoes if your trip include some trekking
  • Shorts and long pants
  • Couple of pairs of socks

How do I get to Denpasar?

By Air

The gateway to enter Bali by a flight route is through Ngurah Rai airport (DPS). International and national flights are available around the clock, to take the visitor to the Island of The Gods.

The airport is scheduled to close once a year during the Balinese Nyepi ceremony, for 24 hours. During Nyepi, every corner of Bali is performing the sacred rituals which made the island ceased any activities outside of these rituals for one whole day.

Overland

Public transport to Bali is available through travel companies and busses. If you opt to experience a road trip, be sure that you are equipped and ready for the long hours.

By Sea

Bali is accessible by ferry ride from an island of Lombok where you can explore the beauty of Mount Rinjani and pristine beaches on the Gili islands.
From Java, you can get to Bali by taking a ferry from Banyuwangi where you can embark on adventurous path to Ijen Crater and its amazing Blue Fire.

How hard is this trip?

We have classified our tours in 3 different classes. Always check which one suitable for your condition. If you have any doubt, you may consult to our travel expert.

Easy: Suitable for most people in good health. These trips can include short walk for days with around 2–3 hours in good paths and at low altitudes.

Medium: A reasonable level of fitness or technique is required as these trips can require sustained endurance levels. It may include longer days of approximately 5-6 hours of activity, strenuous hiking in higher altitudes, or snorkeling in strong current.

Hard: These trips are physically demanding and best suited for people with a high endurance level, good level of fitness and exercise regularly. Days can be long around 7-8 hours of activity, often at high altitudes. Sometimes it is in remote regions and sometimes without a support vehicle nearby. Travelers may be required to carry their backpack, trip with trekking overnights without access to normal toilets or accommodations.
