You will explore deep into the forest of Tangkoko National Park during the 4-day tour, to discover its huge variety of species of flora and fauna, such as the endemic crested black macaques. It’ll be so much fun to spot them playing in groups or sometimes fighting each other. In this rich natural reserve, you can also find the smallest primate in the world. The spectral tarsier that is just about the size of your fist! Although, they are nocturnal which means they are mostly active during the night so consider yourself lucky to spot one during the day. Prepare yourself for a wildlife adventure!
Welcome to Manado! The adventure begins with meeting your guide at the airport. Then you will start the journey of about 2 and a half hours by car to the Tangkoko Forest. Upon arrival at the homestay or lodge, you will have a talk about what you will see and preparations for the trekking.

Our favourite time for travel in Indonesia is between April to October, although Indonesia is a great year-round destination, offering memorable experiences for all kinds of adventures. July to August are the peak summer months.
In West to Central part of the weather is delightfully warm and it’s a popular time for travellers to visit for holidays, whilst if you wish to travel from October to April, the Eastern part Indonesia, like Banda and Raja Ampat, would be the best option.
If you wish to have a relaxing journey in Indonesia with less crowds, the shoulder months of April to June and September to October are ideal and slightly more economic. If you must travel in ‘high season’ but want to avoid the crowd, worry not, there are numbered of unbeaten track in Indonesia ready to be explored.
Currently, local direct flights to Manado (MDC) are available from Jakarta airport (CGK) and Denpasar, Bali (DPS). These are where most international routes arrive and depart. There is a flight connection by Garuda Indonesia from Amsterdam to Manado with one transit in Jakarta. By Qatar Airways, connection is available from Frankfurt going through Doha and Jakarta.
Tropical areas are usually warm and often sweaty places, especially if you have Borneo or Sulawesi included in your travel. Check out our suggestions on What to Wear:
