This hotel is located just 15 minutes from the airport, avoiding entering the noisy city. The FM7 is a charming hotel where you will rest after your international flight. Have your luggage ready, because today is the day to get to know one of the most important centers of biodiversity in the world and the third largest island on the planet: Borneo!!! After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to take the direct flight to Pangkalan Bun, on the island of Borneo, or better known by Indonesians as Kalimantan. Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will be waiting for you. You will transfer to the port of Kumai in about 15-20 minutes by car, where you will embark on a great adventure! You arrive at our traditional wooden boat, called a klotok. Our guide will reconfirm with the crew that everything is ready and start the cruise up the river in the famous Sekonyer River aboard a klotok. If your flight arrives early (before 11.30 AM), you can arrive in time to the rehabilitation center of Tanjung Harapan, where at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the rangers of the national park feed the orangutans, and you can have your first close encounters with them. The translation of Tanjung Harapan is Cape of Hope. This first camp is one of the ones with more wetlands, and in the afternoon, there can be mosquitoes, so make sure you put on enough mosquito repellent. Here you also can do the reforestation, where you can be volunteers to plant a tree, and so take pride that you have contributed a grain of sand to conservation with your step over there.
After visiting this Rangers Camp, you will continue upstream, resting on the boat, while you search for animals in the vicinity of the Sekonyer River. This afternoon, it is very frequent to see groups of proboscis monkeys and monkeys in the treetops, jumping from one branch to another, or even crocodiles, and lizards in the shallow waters of the sides of the river.
Prepare for sunset. The boat moored on one side of the river to spend the night. Tonight, you can do a walk into the jungle to look for night animals like snakes, tarantulas or if you are lucky luminescent mushrooms or tarsiers.

Accommodation: Klotok Boat
Today you will wake up to the sounds and colors of the jungle. You will surely never forget how you woke up on the river surrounded by this overflowing nature. After an extraordinary breakfast on board, we will go in time to see the Tanggui camp at the time of animal feeding (9am)
Little by little you will see how the branches of the treetops begin to move and then you will see the silhouettes of the Orangutans arriving little by little at the feeding platform. Tanggui was a release camp for Young Orangutans who were rehabilitated, and continue to add food every day, to prevent the Orangutans from moving away due to lack of food. and end up outside the National Park, with the next risk of falling into settler traps or palm oil plantation fields.
After the Orangutans start to leave, you will return again to the Klotok to go even further upstream. You will see how the coloration of the river changes and you will have the opportunity to see crocodiles and large monitor lizards, along with Gibbons and Proboscis Monkeys. And of course, enjoy lunch in the middle of this natural setting.
Arrival at Camp Leakey, the Old Orangutan Research and Rehabilitation Center since 1971, when a student at UCLA University in Los Angeles, named Birutte Galdikas began studying Orangutans there. The name Camp Leaky comes from Birutte’s own professor, the paleoanthropologist Louis Leakey.
At least 200 orangutans have already been cured and returned to the jungles thanks to this center, however since 1995, the Indonesian government has prohibited the introduction of more Orangutans in this camp, so the Orangutans are adapting more and more to freedom. To this day, this camp is used for Orangutan behavior and feeding research.
At 14.00 you can see the feeding time of the Orangutans. You can also visit the small museum made by the scientist Dr. Birute Galdikas. When we finish observing the orangutans in this camp and if the weather and conditions allow it, we will do a gentle hike through the jungle back to the Boat to look for orangutans in the wild and other animals, on the way we will have the opportunity to meet from the hand of our local guides, some of them born in the jungle, how to look for carnivorous animals or plants or simply, listen to their experience of life in the jungle.
The jungles of Borneo have given life and home to the inhabitants for millions of years, they are jungles that under the eyes of the settler grandparents are capable of giving everything one needs. Food, water, medicine, yes… Never put anything in your mouth without the recommendation of your guide. In the afternoon, if it does not rain, the ship will dock near a congregation of fireflies and you can enjoy the spectacle of its luminescences.
Note: The Birate Galdikas Museum at Camp Leaky is currently closed for maintenance purposes. Regrettably, visits to this site will not be possible until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated on the reopening of the museum.
*If your return flight leaves early in the morning (around 7 a.m.), tonight the klotok will sleep closer to the port in order to get you to the airport in time.

In the early morning, we will enjoy the last moments of the sounds of the jungle, before heading to the port, to in turn, be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Semarang. Arriving at Semarang Airport, your Java guide will be waiting for you to start exploring one of Indonesia’s most traditional islands. In about two hours of walking, we will arrive at Magelang where one of the most important Buddhist Temples in Southeast Asia is located. The Candi Borobudur, (Temple of Borobudur), the great Stupa, the largest Buddhist monument in the world and one of the seven wonders. We will tour the temple, observing the hundreds and centuries-old Buddha statues and watching as dozens of Buddhists come to preach from all over the world. Historically it was made during the relatively brief Sailendra dynasty of Central Java between 778 and 856 BC and is in constant restoration due to the breaks that the tremors of the neighboring Merapi volcano have been producing during its history. After visiting the Borobudur Temple, and after about an hour and a half, we will arrive at Yogyakarta, a tourist destination for its ancient palaces, temples, batik workshops, Gamelan music orchestras, court dances and Wayang puppet shows. An incredible experience that will make the hours fly by.
Finishing the tour in the center of the city of Yogyakarta, we will go northeast towards Candi Prambanan, the Hindu temple that has been classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco since 1991. This temple was completed around the year 856 to commemorate the victory of the Sanjaya descendant of Siva, Rikai Pikatan, over the last ruler of Central Java, Sailendra. Today you will begin to trace your footprints in this “home” of the gods, we will visit the places on the fantastic route of come2indonesia.
The first site will be the Taman Ayun Temple (it was founded in the 17th century), located in the Mengwi Village that until 1891 was the seat of a powerful man who dates back to the Gelgel Dynasty, which is surrounding by a moat that looks like a landscaped sanctuary, which explains the term taman, or garden. The temple is a penyawangan or place to worship other sacred sites.
From Taman Ayun, the compass heads towards Jatiluwih, where without a doubt we will admire and enjoy a beautiful view of rice terraces that cover the entire landscape. The name of Jatiluwih is made up of two words, Jati which means truly and Luwih which means beautiful, good, special, beautiful.
After Jatiluwih, we will go to Bedugul where we will visit the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, the famous temple that stands in a small foundation located on the shore of Lake Beratan and has the beautiful landscape with the said lake and the mountain as the backdrop for the view. It is without a doubt, it is one of the most photogenic temples in all of Indonesia. This temple is dedicated to Dewi Danu, goddess of waters.
We will close the visit on this fantastic route and end the day watching the sunset at the most famous and photographed temple in Bali, the Pura Tanah Lot. Torn off the ground on a stone pedestal sculpted by the incoming tides, the lonely black towers of the Tanah Lot and the plumes of foliage shed by the cliffs recall the delicacy of Chinese painting. The Pura Tanah Lot or the Temple of Earth in the Middle of the Sea was built in the 16th century. Then we return to the hotel.

Our favorite time to travel to Indonesia is between April and October, although it is an excellent destination all year round that offers memorable experiences for all kinds of adventures. July to August is high season.
In western and central Indonesia, the climate is warm and is the most popular time among travelers to come on vacation, but if you prefer to travel from October to April, the eastern part of Indonesia, such as Banda and Raja Ampat, would be the best choice.
If you want to have a relaxing trip with fewer crowds, the months of April to June and september to October are ideal and a little cheaper. If you can only travel in “high season” but want to avoid the crowd, don’t worry because Indonesia still has many places little traveled by mass tourism.
Tropical areas are usually warm and often sweaty places, especially if you have Borneo or Sulawesi included in your trip. Check out our guide on how to prepare your trip to Indonesia:

Land Travel and Trekking:
We have classified our tours into 3 different types of difficulty. Always check which one is right for your condition. If you have any questions, you can consult our travel expert.
Easy: Suitable for most people in good health. These trips can include short walks for days with around 2 to 3 hours on good roads and at low altitude.
Medium: A reasonable level of physical or technical condition is required, as these trips may require sustained resistance levels and travel may include longer days of approximately 5-6 hours of activity and/or higher altitudes as well as snorkeling in strong currents.
Hard: These trips are physically demanding and more suitable for people with a high level of endurance, good level of physical condition and regular exercise. The days can last about 7-8 hours of activity, often at high altitudes, in remote regions and sometimes without a nearby support vehicle. Travelers may need to carry their backpack or travel with trekking at night without access to normal bathrooms or accommodations.
