Exploring the impressive Kerinci Seblat National Park, you will realize that Sumatra has one of the richest ecosystems in the world. No one can deny the beauty of Sumatra, from the top of its majestic volcanoes to the lush jungle, down to sea level, where idyllic pristine beaches are scattered throughout the island.
With almost 40 million inhabitants, the cultural variety that exists around Sumatra will also provide you with constant emotions during your stay on the island. Sumatra is also home to an interesting and unique tribe which has its own culture and language.
This will be a wild journey full of adventure and culture that we will start in Padang City. We will address Bukittinggi to learn about some of its traditions and visit the Sianok canyon. On the way to Kersik Tuo, we will stop at the twin volcanoes, bathe in a waterfall, and visit a tea plantation.
You will make several walking routes inside the impressive Kerinci Seblat National Park, where we will have the opportunity to experience what it feels like to spend a night camping in the middle of nature near Lake Gunung Tujuh.
You will take a tour of the city of Bengkulu and stay at a hotel on the slopes of Dempo Mountain. We will take a tour of Pagar Alam to explore the megalith stones and visit the plantation and the tea factory. We will visit the elephant training camp in Bukit Selero and end our adventure in the city of Palembang.
Arrival at Minangkabau International Airport of Padang, meeting service with our guide and drive to Bukittinggi. On the way, pass Anai Valley waterfall and visit Pandai Sikat village to see traditional wood carving and hand weaving. Arrival at Bukittinggi, visit Sianok Canyon, Fort-de-Kock, museum and market. In the afternoon, check in to hotel.

Once finished the breakfast, drive to Kersik Tuo via Muara Labuh and stop at Lake Diatas and Lake Dibawah or also known as twin lakes. The word Diatas means over the top and guess what Dibawah means? Down below. On the way, pass by several Minangkabau Village. Visit Telun Berasap Waterfall and pass by tea plantation at Kayu Aro. Arrival at Sei Penuh, the area of Kerinci Seblat National Park, check in to hotel.

After breakfast, drive to the slope of Gunung Tujuh (Mount Seven) and then start trekking and explore the nature of Kerinci Seblat National Park. It is the largest national park in the island of Sumatra.
During the trekking is a good chance to observe the wildlife, such as Birds, Snake, Deer, Mouse deer and other kinds of animals. Overnight in a Tent near Gunung Tujuh Lake. (Meals provided by Tour Guide).

Once finished the breakfast, continue trekking at Kerinci Seblat National Park to explore more deeply the wild jungle of National Park.
Over 4,000 plant species have been identified to date in the park area, including the world’s largest flower, Rafflesia arnoldi, and the plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence, the titan arum. overnight in a tent (Meals provided by Tour Guide).

In the morning, continue trekking at Kerinci Seblat national park. The national park is home for many kinds of big, medium, and small cats, such as clouded leopard, marbled cat, leopard cat, and Asian golden cat. In the afternoon, return to Kersik Tuo for overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Bangko via Sungai Penuh, on the way visit Lake Kerinci and pass by several villages, Batang Masai River and then in the afternoon, arrive at Bangko. Check in to hotel.

In the morning, leave Bengkulu for Pagar Alam. On the way, stop at several traditional market, villages and plantation. In the afternoon, arrive at Pagar Alam to check in to hotel at the slope of Dempo Mountain near tea plantation.

In the morning, do some excursion at Pagar Alam to explore the megalith stones and visit Tea Plantation and Tea Factory. In the afternoon, drive to Lahat for overnight.

Our favourite time for travel in Indonesia is between April to October, although Indonesia is a great year-round destination, offering memorable experiences for all kinds of adventures. July to August are the peak summer months. In West to Central part of the weather is delightfully warm and it’s a popular time for travellers to visit for holidays, whilst if you wish to travel from October to April, the Eastern part Indonesia, like Banda and Raja Ampat, would be the best option.
If you wish to have a relaxing journey in Indonesia with less crowds, the shoulder months of April to June and September to October are ideal and slightly more economic. Padang is half-way up Sumatra’s west coast and is served by a good network of land, air and sea routes. Padang’s new airport is the Bandara Internasional Minangkabau, 20 km north of the centre of town. Domestic flights go daily between Padang and Jakarta, Medan and Palembang. Airlines operating flights to Padang include Garuda, AirAsia and Lion Air. Padang’s Bengkuang bus terminal is located 12 km from town.

Easy: Suitable for most people in good health. These trips can include short walk for days with around 2–3 hours in good paths and at low altitudes.
Medium: A reasonable level of fitness or technique is required, as these trips can require sustained endurance levels as the trip may include longer days of approximately 5-6 hours of activity or/and in higher altitudes, or snorkelling in strong current.
Hard: These trips are physically demanding and best suited for people with a high endurance level, good level of fitness and exercise regularly. Days can be long around 7-8 hours of activity, often at high altitudes, in remote regions and sometimes without a support vehicle nearby. Travellers may be required to carry their backpack, trip with trekking overnights without access to normal toilets or accommodations.
